Meet Madison: Novi Wealth's Summer Intern

Updated: Apr 14, 2022

At Novi Wealth Partners, we firmly believe in giving opportunities to young men and women interested in financial planning. Each summer we select interns and give the real world, everyday experiences we encounter. Although this summer provided some unique hurdles, we have found a young woman who believe rose to challenge. Meet Madison.

This spring, Madison will be graduating from the University of Tampa’s Sykes College of Business with a degree in International Business and Management.  When entering university, Madison decided to study International Business and Management because of her interest in different cultures and her love for travel. However, into her college career, Madison also discovered a passion to learn about personal finance and how she could help others reach their potential as well. Realizing a newfound path, Madison started looking to gain experience in a career she did not initially plan to enter. She joined Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity on campus and was elected to serve as VP of Finance for her pledge class. That same year Madison started interning at Northwestern Mutual to gain professional experience in financial advising. Although this experience opened her to new possibilities, Madison was interested in joining a fee-only firm which ultimately led her to Novi Wealth Partners.

This summer Madison is interning as a paraplanner working alongside Brenden and Dominick to assist the team with daily tasks. Her tasks include creating Investment Policy Statements to better understand the clients and preparing tax projections that the wealth advisors can present. As well as familiarizing herself with the software Tamarac to run trade reconciliations and Schwab in order to create forms and applications among other things. After graduation, Madison would like to continue in this field and learn more about what it takes to be a successful wealth manager.
